System Requirements

Operating Systems

Industrial Gadgets .NET operates in the Windows family of operating systems environment. The supported operating systems are as follows:

• Windows 2000 SP4 and higher
• Windows XP SP2 and higher
• Windows 2003 all service packs
• Windows Vista Business & Ultimate including SP1

Windows operating systems prior to Windows 2000 (i.e. Windows 95, 98, NT) are not supported. 

.NET Framework

Industrial Gadgets.NET works with .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5.  .NET Compact Framework is not supported at this time.

Development Environments

Industrial Gadgets .NET operates in the Visual Studio family of development environments. The supported development environments are as follows:

• Visual Studio 2005 VB/C# Standard, Professional Editions
• Visual Studio 2008 VB/C# Standard, Professional Editions & Team System/Suite
• Visual Studio 2008 Express

Windows development environments prior to Visual Studio 2005 (i.e. Visual Studio 6, Visual Studio 2002, Visual Studio 2003) are not supported.  If you need the functionality found in this product for older development environments, please use the Industrial Gadgets ActiveX product.

HMI Applications

Other HMI applications that are .NET containers are not supported at this time. However, we encourage you to give Industrial Gadgets a try in those containers and tell us your results.
